Cloudxtreme is seeking a Senior ServiceNow ITOM Developer to lead design and delivery of ITOM solutions. You will architect, develop, and optimize ITOM components including Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management, while mentoring junior developers.
You will guide CMDB health, CSDM alignment, and complex integrations with cloud and monitoring tools (AWS, Azure, Splunk). Strong JS/Glide scripting and Integration Hub expertise are required.
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior ServiceNow ITOM Developer to act as a technical leader in our team. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in the design, development, implementation, and optimization of ServiceNow's IT Operations Management suite, including CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration. This role requires the ability to architect complex, scalable solutions and mentor less-senior developers.
Solution architecture and design: Act as a technical lead in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow ITOM solutions that align with business strategy and best practices.
Advanced development: Develop and customize complex ITOM functionalities, including advanced scripting for Discovery patterns, probes, and sensors, as well as complex integration workflows using Integration Hub.
CMDB and CSDM expertise: Provide expert-level guidance on the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and ensure CMDB data integrity, normalization, and reconciliation. Design strategies for maintaining CMDB health and accuracy.
Integration leadership: Lead the integration of ServiceNow ITOM with third-party monitoring, cloud, and infrastructure tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds, AWS, Azure). Architect complex, bi-directional integrations using various methods.
Problem-solving and optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve advanced, cross-module ITOM issues. Proactively identify and implement improvements to optimize existing ITOM capabilities for better performance and efficiency.
Roadmap and strategy: Contribute to the strategic roadmap for the ServiceNow platform, evaluating new features and releases, and providing expert recommendations.
Stakeholder collaboration: Work directly with business and IT stakeholders to translate complex requirements into actionable technical solutions and communicate technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Documentation and governance: Create and maintain high-level and detailed technical documentation. Ensure all configurations and developments adhere to organizational governance and standards.
Experience: 58 years of hands‑on experience in ServiceNow development, with a minimum of 4+ years focused specifically on ITOM.
Technical skills: Deep expertise in JavaScript, Glide scripting, Flow Designer, REST/SOAP APIs, and other ServiceNow development tools.
Module expertise: Proven, hands‑on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
Certifications (preferred): ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITOM, Discovery, and Event Management. ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) is also highly desirable.
Platform knowledge: Strong understanding of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and their integration with other ServiceNow modules.
Infrastructure knowledge: Solid grasp of IT infrastructure, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS), and container technologies.
