Job summary

Siemens Energy in Vadodara seeks a seasoned Project Site Supervisor to organize, coordinate and supervise complex site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion of power plant projects.

Diploma or bachelor’s in mechanical engineering with 10 years’ experience in installation and commissioning of power plant sites is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Projects, plus strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 10 years' experience in installation & commissioning of power plant sites.
• Experience in steam turbine and auxiliaries installation is preferable.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and MS Projects.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, coordinates, and supervises site activities to ensure safe, quality, and efficient project execution.
• Mobilizes new site setup and coordinates with PMs, Site Managers, EHS for scheduling and progress.
• Assigns work to project site personnel according to processes, policies, schedules, and capabilities.
• Monitors schedules and site activities to maintain productive, cost-efficient operations.
• Plans resources, materials management, and interfaces with customers; manages claims.
• Ensures effective contractor management and safety/quality implementation at sites.
• Reviews EHS plans, HIRA, toolbox talks, and NM/UC.
• Oversees project site closure and handover to warranty phase.
• Ensures compliance with site legal and statutory requirements; supports field service reps.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

• Organizes, coordinates, and supervises employees and activities at project site to ensure an effective and efficient project site operation that meets safety, quality, and construction standards.
• Lead, organize, plan, Mobilization of New Site set-up and coordinate with Project Managers, Site Managers, EHS and control Project site construction activities & Schedule/Progress.
• Assigns work to Project site personnel to attain objectives using knowledge of processes, company policies, site execution schedules, work orders, equipment capacity and employee capabilities.
• Readily perceives and effectively responds to schedules and site activities flows essential to supervising highly productive, cost-effective, quality-oriented operations.
• Responsible for resource Planning at Sites, materials management, Customer Interface, Claim Management.
• Effective project site contractor management.
• Responsible for implementation of safety and Quality Management at project sites.
• Review of EHS Plan, HIRA, toolbox Talks, UA/ UC & NM.
• Project Site closure and handover to warranty phase/ Customer as per contract.
• Responsible for effective site legal compliance, statuary aspects and site EHS.
• For Supervision sites responsible for Field Services Representatives deployment, technical support for site issues, co- ordination with customer to meet schedules.

• Diploma /bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 10 years’ experience in Installation & commissioning of
• Power plants projects sites. Experience in Steam Turbine & Auxiliaries installation and commissioning is preferable.
• Hands on experience on Auto-cad, MS Projects.
• Read and interpret drawings.
• Proficient in structural, IBR / NIBR piping fabrication / NDT.
• Ability to understand and apply project site safety procedures.
• Ability to learn and understand software and complete transactions pertaining to project sites operations, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates ability to supervise diverse work groups in a team environment using effective listening, coaching, training, investigative and problem-solving skills, ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment and effective time management in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
