Job summary

Siemens Energy invites an experienced Automation Engineer to shape sustainable propulsion and energy solutions. Based in Pune, you will work in an agile team, spanning system engineering to on‑board commissioning, including offshore interfaces and DCS projects for oil, gas, and marine clients.

You will engage with Siemens regional offices, travel internationally, and contribute to complex automation cabinets, upgrades, and migrations while applying C++, C#, VB scripting, and database management

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Automation Engineering.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical or Automation Engineering.
• Knowledge of PLCs and HMI/SCADA systems.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Deal with automated systems on offshore platforms to implement interfaces and complete solutions.
• Coordinate with Factory/ System house / Vendor for Automation Cabinet Manufacturing & Staging.
• Travel to Siemens/customers for 2–3 months (domestic and international).

In an agile team, we work together to develop sustainable energy and propulsion concepts that we implement worldwide with our customers. From generators and batteries to fuel cells, the solutions are as diverse as they are innovative. Your role extends from system-engineering to commissioning on board the ship.

How You'll Make An Impact

• You deal comprehensively with the automated systems on offshore platforms to implement interfaces and complete solutions.
• Hand-on experience with PCS7, WinCC and Step 7, TIA portal.

Has performed Automation node / HMI programming for at least five Oil & Gas / Marine / relevant automation projects using the above tools.

• Experience with Nordic SOGO library would be added advantage.
• Experience with Upgrade / Migration of offshore DCS projects is desirable.
• Coordinate with Factory / System house / Vendor for Automation Cabinet Manufacturing & Staging.
• Travelling to siemens/customer for longer durations (around 2-3 months) would be part of this role. (Domestic as well as International)

• You are a graduate in Instrumentation, Electrical or Automation Engineering with consistent track record and relevant experience of 8+ years in Automation Engineering.
• Knowledge of C++, C#, VB Scripting, Database Management would be added advantage.
• Good communication skills, fluency in English. (Written and oral)
• Good Team Player & can communicate with Siemens regional offices.
