Job summary

Delta Color Sorter seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to install, service, and repair Color Sorter and Grading Machines at customer sites across India. You will perform preventive maintenance and on-site troubleshooting to maximize uptime and reliability.

You will read mechanical drawings, coordinate with electrical teams, and educate customers on best operating practices. The role requires frequent travel, reporting, and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventive and breakdown maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and machine layouts.
• Willingness to travel across India for customer support.
• Valid driving licence mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to maximize machine uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues during customer visits.
• Inspect, repair and replace mechanical components including belts, bearings, gearboxes, pulleys and other machines parts.
• Perform machine alignment, lubrication, calibration and adjustments.
• Coordinate with electrical/automation teams during troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Educate customers on operation, maintenance and best practices.
• Prepare service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain service tools, inventory and spare parts.
• Respond promptly to breakdown calls and ensure timely resolution.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional service and support.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Color Sorter and Grading Machines. Candidates with experience maintaining equipment that incorporates similar mechanical components are encouraged to apply, even if they have not worked specifically on sorting or grading machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading-Unloading, install, commission and perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum machine uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently during customer visits.
• Inspect, repair, and replace mechanical components including Pneumatic systems, elevators, bearings, gearboxes, conveyor belts, chains, sprockets, shafts, couplings, rollers, pulleys, and guide mechanisms, and other mechanical components of the machines.
• Perform machine alignment, lubrication, calibration, and mechanical adjustments.
• Coordinate with electrical and automation teams during troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Educate customers on machine operation, preventive maintenance, and best operating practices.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, machine health reports, and customer visit documentation.
• Recommend and promote genuine spare parts and preventive maintenance services to customers.
• Maintain service tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
• Respond promptly to customer breakdown calls and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional service and technical support.
• Follow safety standards and company service procedures during all field activities.
