Job summary

Autoprint India, a leading manufacturer and exporter in the printing industry, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, and service digital finishing machines within the assigned territory.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues, train customers on operation and maintenance, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service. Willingness to travel extensively and work at customer sites is required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of field service or installation experience on industrial machinery.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and demonstrate digital finishing machines at customer sites.
• Provide preventive and breakdown maintenance support.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
• Attend service calls, ensuring timely resolution of problems.

Job Description

Role Overview

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for machine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, service support, and sales support activities for digital finishing machines within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and demonstrate digital finishing machines at customer locations.
• Provide preventive and breakdown maintenance support to customers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues .
• Attend customer service calls and ensure timely resolution of technical problems.
• Train customers and operators on machine operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Conduct machine inspections and recommend necessary service or replacement of components.
• Coordinate with the internal service, sales, and technical teams for effective customer support.
• Provide technical support to the sales team during customer visits, product demonstrations, and machine evaluations.
• Support installation and commissioning of machines at new customer sites.
• Maintain service reports, installation reports, and customer visit records.
• Travel extensively within the assigned territory as required.

• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems .
• Basic understanding of sensors, motors, drives, control panels, and automation systems .
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively for customer service and installation activities.
• Ability to work independently at customer locations.

Preferred Profile

• 2-5 years of experience in field service, machine installation, commissioning, or maintenance .
• Experience with industrial machinery, printing/finishing equipment, automation machinery, or similar capital equipment will be an advantage.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting are preferred.
