Job summary

Qualifications

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of electronic systems, networking infrastructure, and embedded hardware platforms. This role requires hands-on experience with hardware diagnostics, operating systems, networking technologies, and test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

System Installation & Testing:

• Install and configure operating systems such as RHEL and Windows.
• Load, configure, and validate software applications as per project requirements.
• Execute system testing activities based on approved test procedures and documentation.
• Ensure systems meet performance and functionality standards before deployment.

Hardware & Electronics Support:

• Work with PCI/PMC-based architectures, processors, graphics boards, LAN switches, modems, and workstations.
• Interpret and analyze schematic diagrams, block diagrams, wire lists, and multilayer CPU board layouts.
• Inspect PCB status indicators and diagnose hardware faults.
• Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance of electronic components and assemblies.

Networking & Connectivity:

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot L2/L3 managed switches.
• Support Linux-based servers and workstations.
• Verify Ethernet and fiber-optic connectivity across inter-node and intra-node networks.
• Troubleshoot network issues related to TCP/IP protocols and LAN topologies.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Review and understand software test documents, technical manuals, and system documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, testing activities, repairs, and system performance.
• Ensure compliance with organizational procedures and quality standards.

Test Instruments & Diagnostic Tools:

• Operate and utilize CRO, multimeter, logic analyzer, and other electronic test equipment.
• Use standard data capture and monitoring tools for interface analysis and troubleshooting.
• Conduct diagnostics and performance validation of hardware and communication systems.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of embedded electronics and system architecture.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience with RHEL and Windows operating systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in hardware and software environments.
• Familiarity with networking protocols, managed switches, and server configurations.
• Experience using electronic test instruments and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel and provide on-site technical support when required.
