Job summary

Massa Izolyator Mehru is seeking an experienced Service Engineer in India to support installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of high-voltage equipment. You will diagnose faults, perform site servicing, and travel to customer locations as needed.

The role requires hands-on HV testing with transformers, bushings, GIS and HV switches, plus strong customer communication skills and willingness to travel extensively for on-site support.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Service Engineer to support the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage electrical equipment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable performance of equipment and providing effective technical support to customers.

Role & responsibilities:

• Conduct and support high-voltage testing of electrical equipment as per applicable technical standards and procedures.
• Perform testing, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage equipment, including transformers , Bushings , GIS , Switches.
• Diagnose technical faults and identify the root cause of equipment failures.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities at customer sites.
• Attend and resolve customer complaints and service-related issues within the required timeline.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare technical observations and service reports.
• Ensure proper use and handling of high-voltage testing instruments and equipment.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures while working with high-voltage equipment.
• Maintain proper documentation of testing results, service activities, complaints, and corrective actions.
• Provide technical support and recommendations to customers regarding equipment operation, maintenance, and performance improvement.
• Travel to customer sites as required for service, maintenance, testing, commissioning, and complaint resolution.

Required Qualification , Experience & Skills :

• Diploma or B.Tech/ BE Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in the service and maintenance of high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Strong exposure to conducting high-voltage tests and electrical testing activities.
• Hands-on experience with equipment such as Transformers, Bushings, GIS, and High-Voltage Switches.
• Good knowledge of testing procedures, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to analyze technical problems and provide effective solutions.
• Experience in handling and resolving customer complaints.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to prepare technical and service reports.
• Willingness to travel extensively for customer and site support.
