Job summary

Macpower is seeking a skilled electrical technician to perform breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC/VMC machines. You will diagnose faults, calibrate drives and sensors, and read complex schematics to ensure minimal downtime.

Responsibilities include PLC and HMI program tweaks, controller configuration across Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi/Haas, and regular preventive maintenance. Must read electrical drawings and work in a busy machine shop.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC/VMC electrical maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime.
• Familiarity with multiple CNC controllers (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Haas).

Role & responsibilities

• Breakdown Maintenance: Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults on CNC/VMC machines, minimizing factory downtime.
• Controller Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and configure CNC controllers, including Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Haas.
• Drive & Motor Calibration: Calibrate and service servo drives, spindle drives, linear scales, encoders, and proximity sensors.
• PLC & Logic Tweaking: Modify, back up, and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic and HMI programs.
• Schematic Reading: Read and interpret complex electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts to resolve circuit issues.
• Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive and predictive electrical maintenance checklists for all machine shop equipment.
