Job summary

Promech Machine Tools is seeking a service engineer to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and service CNC machines at customer sites in the Chennai area. The role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, installation, commissioning and testing of CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance and timely support to customers.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of CNC servicing experience, with knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens or Mitsubishi controllers, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related engineering.
• 1–3 years of CNC servicing or industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens or Mitsubishi CNC controllers is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.

Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in CNC machine servicing, machine maintenance, or industrial equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of CNC Lathe and VMC machines is preferred.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot machine-related issues.
• Knowledge of CNC controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of machine installation and commissioning.
• Good problem-solving and technical skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Willingness to travel for customer site visits and service assignments.
