Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Service Engineer CNC Turning Machine responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and customer support of CNC Turning Machines. The candidate should possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, along with experience in CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Installation

• Perform machine leveling, alignment, and mechanical assembly of CNC Turning Machines.
• Install and assemble chucks, turrets, tool blocks, tailstocks, and machine accessories.
• Ensure machine installation complies with OEM standards and customer requirements.

Electrical Installation

• Conduct panel wiring inspections and cable routing.
• Verify control panel connections and machine electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot drives, servo motors, encoders, sensors, limit switches, and interlocks.

CNC Commissioning

• Configure machine parameters and perform axis referencing.
• Calibrate spindle, turret, and machine axes.
• Diagnose PLC/CNC faults using Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or equivalent CNC controllers.
• Verify machine functionality before customer acceptance.

Machine Proving (Job Prove-Out)

• Set up cutting tools and offsets.
• Load and validate CNC programs.
• Perform trial machining to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Optimize machining parameters and cycle time for improved productivity.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control issues.
• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Replace defective components and restore machine functionality with minimum downtime.

Customer Support & Documentation

• Provide on-site technical support during installation and service visits.
• Train operators and maintenance personnel on machine operation and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare installation reports, service reports, inspection reports, and machine completion certificates.
• Coordinate with internal service, design, and application teams for issue resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–8 years of experience in CNC Turning Machine installation and servicing.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India and overseas, if required.
