Job summary

Airspan Networks Inc. in Bengaluru (Bangalore) invites a Services Engineer to join the IBN Services team. You will work with customers and Airspan’s support teams to deliver 4G/5G-RAN and DAS expertise, monitor networks, and handle Tier-1 issues.

This role requires 2–3 years of customer-facing experience in wireless telecom, solid knowledge of 4G/5G RAN, DAS, IP networking, and strong English communication. You should be ready for variable shifts and close collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of customer facing experience in Wireless/Telecommunication/Networking.
• General 4G and 5G RAN E2E troubleshooting, DAS Knowledge, IP Networking experience, knowledge of communication protocols, RF Engineering fundamentals.
• Available to work late evening, weekend or night shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks in a follow-the-sun model for 24x7 coverage.
• Answer customer calls and open tickets to track issues and follow SLA.
• Provide Tier-1 support and resolve issues per SLA and process.
• Coordinate outage response with internal teams and customers to resolve outages quickly.
• Document network incidents and create MOPs for upgrades/changes.

Job Title: Services Engineer Department: IBN Services Job Location: Bangalore, IN Reporting To: Managed Services Operations Manager

Main Purpose of the Job

The Services Engineer works closely with customers and Airspans technical support teams to provide the best 4G/5G- RAN and DAS support. Services Engineer will be responsible for Network Monitoring, Tier1 Support, Answer Customer Calls, Resolve System Outages and perform System Upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Monitoring in Follow the Sun Model. Work with Services Engineers based in other regions to provide 24x7 Network Monitoring services as per SLA
• Answer Customer Calls and provide the required support to address customer questions or requirements. Open tickets to track all issues and follow the Support Process to fulfill the requirements
• Provide Tier1 Support to all incoming customer issues and resolve issues as per SLA and Support Process
• Co-ordinate Outage Response with all internal Airspan teams and Customers to resolve Outages in a timely manner as per process
• Document all Network Incidents, communicate with all stakeholders about the incidents, Create MOPs for system upgrades/changes in the network

Education and Experience

• Two to Three years of Customer facing experience in Wireless/Telecommunication/Networking field
• General 4G and 5G RAN E2E troubleshooting, DAS Knowledge, IP Networking experience, knowledge of communication protocols, RF Engineering fundamentals
• Previous installation or commissioning experience with DAS, LTE and 5G Systems is a plus
• Excellent English (written, spoken)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Available to work late evening, weekend or night shifts as needed
• Bachelors degree in data communications or electronics or computer science
