Job summary

Ericsson in India is seeking an experienced network engineer to provide 2nd line support for incidents and problems across Gurgaon, Noida & Bangalore. The role requires hands-on expertise with routers, switches, firewalls, proxies and load balancers, with a focus on Linux systems, WAN/LAN, and security technologies.

You will diagnose incidents, design improvements, document processes, and support 24x7 operations. Strong knowledge of BGP/OSPF/EIGRP and cloud integration is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in LAN/WAN Networks and Security Operations/Development.
• Education: a primary degree in Engineering, IT or Telecommunications.
• Background in Linux systems, networking and firewall technologies.
• JNCIA and CCSA qualifications are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of routing and WAN technologies.
• Experience with Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto, Cloud, and F5.
• IP/MPLS, routing, WAN/LAN, security, DHCP/DNS/IPAM, Aruba WLAN.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper routers and switches and BGP/OSPF/RIPv2/EIGRP.
• Experience with Airwave, Mobility Master & Controller, Aruba ClearPass.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve incidents.
• Investigate and diagnose problems; identify short-term work-arounds.
• Act as network specialist and propose improvements; provide RFC input.
• Support and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, DNS, Email Security.
• Build user documentation.
• Provide technical support.
• Redesign and reconfigure alarms for network.
• Maintain a stable environment and optimize the network.

About this opportunity

The position is based out of Gurgaon, Noida & Bangalore.

Candidate would be responsible for providing second-level support on incidents, problem resolutions and technical operations. The incumbent should be authoritative on hardcore networking technologies such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, proxies, load balancers, VPNs and must have a passion for it. Candidate must be flexible for 24x7 role.

• Candidates has experience in Airwave, Mobility master & controller, Access points, Aruba ClearPass policy manager, Scalance-X Industrial Ethernet Switches
• Should have excellent hands on troubleshooting experience, Good to understand tools like Wireshark.
• Understanding and experience while working with Cloud technologies, Devops, Terraform, cloudformation.
• Candidate should have working experience with Network and security over Azure/AWS/GCP/IBM clouds.
• The candidate will need to be prepared to be flexible in approach to work content and responsibilities, along with out of hours and on call support
• Candidate Should be ready for 24x7 role.
