Job summary

Parallel Wireless, a U.S.-based pioneer in Open RAN, seeks a qualified Network Support Engineer in Bengaluru. You will monitor 5G/LTE/RAN systems, generate KPI reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and ensure uptime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years hands-on support in the Radio Access Network.
• Experience presenting KPIs and metrics to customers and teams.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 rotating shift environment.
• Experience in RAN/RF Engineering is a plus.
• Knowledge of 5G, LTE, UMTS, GSM and other RAN tech.
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, QoS, tunneling and security protocols.
• Unix/Linux systems knowledge.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS and cloud virtualization is a plus.
• Knowledge of wireless operator methods and practices.
• Strong written and verbal communications.
• Ability to understand technical issues and multi-task in fast-paced settings.
• Good understanding of 3GPP standards.
• Experience with Excel or similar analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a 24x7 remote network monitoring team on a rotating shift.
• Deliver KPI and technical reporting for the Customer Support team.
• Collaborate with peer teams to define reporting requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for internal teams.
• Document methodologies for recurring reports and automate where possible.
• Explain technical analysis, KPIs, statistics and RCA to customers for production environments.
• Support system management across GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G and proprietary networks.

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on technical support or similar experience in the Radio Access Network of the mobile phone industry.

• Responsible for KPI and technical reporting for the Customer Support team.

• Deliver daily, weekly and monthly reports to internal teams.
• Define and document methodologies and procedures for recurring reports.
• Implement automations to reduce the report generation effort and to increase accuracy in the reporting results and information.
• Assist with the presentation and explaining technical analysis, KPIs, Statistics and Root Cause Analysis to customers for their production environment and mission critical systems.
• Understand system management on a wide range of network technologies including GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G and proprietary systems.
• Perform first level technical support and analysis on issues found during network monitoring.

• Bachelor’s (B.E/B.Tech) or Master’s degree (M.E. or M.Tech.) in Electronics/Tele-Communication/Computer Science Engineering; or equivalent training, education and experience.
