Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a senior cloud engineer focused on Serverless, Cloud Run and Cloud Functions. You will drive performance, security, and reliability of backend APIs and cloud storage across major platforms.

You will implement IaC using CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform, manage CI/CD pipelines, and ensure secure IAM access. This role requires strong English communication and on-site collaboration in India.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions.
• Experience securing and optimizing data in cloud storage across GCP/AWS/Azure.
• Manage IAM roles and permissions for service accounts and users.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high performance and backward-compatible cloud services.
• Debug and diagnose root causes of issues in serverless backend systems.
• Maintain documentation for configurations and troubleshooting steps.
• Provide technical assistance to internal and external users.

Job description

Job Description:

• Deliver high standards of performance, stability, backward compatibility, and developer experience across the Serverless Framework and backend APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying root causes rather than just addressing symptoms.
• Experience with services common to serverless architectures, such as API gateway
• Experience in managing, securing, and optimizing an organization's data within cloud-based storage platforms like Google Cloud, AWS, Azure
• Should have managed IAM (Identity and Access Management) roles and permissions for your application's service accounts and users to ensure secure and controlled access to other GCP services and resources.
• Regularly updating and maintaining the system to ensure optimal performance and security
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
• Identifying, resolving technical issues, and diagnosing the root cause of technical problems
• Providing technical assistance to users, both internal and external, through various channels
• Communicating technical information clearly and concisely to users and stakeholders
• Ensuring consistent and secure configurations across the cloud environment
• Support with 24x7 operations (Rotational Shifts)
• English language (verbal and written) Proficiency is must
• Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Cloud Run and Cloud Functions
• Infrastructure Certifications related to Serverless
• Cloud Certifications related to GCP ACE
