Job summary

PwC Hyderabad is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to lead multi‑stack development using React/Angular and Python on GCP serverless services. You will architect end-to-end solutions spanning frontend, backend, APIs, and databases, while guiding teams and ensuring secure, scalable cloud patterns.

The role emphasizes API design, CI/CD maturity, and GenAI integration, with focus on performance observability, and collaboration with DevOps, Security, and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience.
• Frontend: React.js, Redux Toolkit, Angular, Next.js, TypeScript.

Role & responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack application development using React.js/Angular (with Next.js, Redux Toolkit, Context API, and TypeScript), Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django), and GCP serverless services.
• Architect end-to-end solutions including frontend (Cloud CDN distribution), backend (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE), API (API Gateway, Apigee, gRPC, Cloud Endpoints for GraphQL), and database layers (Firestore, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Memorystore).
• Design scalable REST, gRPC, and GraphQL API architectures using API Gateway/Apigee and Cloud Endpoints with advanced patterns (caching, WebSocket, request/response transformations).
• Design asynchronous and background processing workflows using Celery for long-running or scheduled tasks.
• Lead database design and optimization for Firestore (data modeling, composite indexes), Cloud SQL/AlloyDB, and Cloud Spanner workloads.
• Integrate event streaming with Kafka and Pub/Sub for high-throughput, event-driven data pipelines.
• Integrate GenAI capabilities into application features using Gemini APIs where relevant to product requirements.
• Establish CI/CD pipeline standards using Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, Artifact Registry, and Firebase Hosting with managed CI/CD.
• Implement GCP security best practices including Identity Platform, IAM, Cloud KMS, Secret Manager, and Cloud Armor.
• Develop IaC using Terraform or Config Connector.
• Lead and mentor development teams on modern frameworks, Python full-stack patterns, and GCP best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, QA, and business teams for delivery excellence.
• Use Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Trace, Cloud Logging, and Error Reporting for observability and performance optimization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience.
• Deep proficiency in frontend frameworks (React.js, Redux Toolkit, Angular, Next.js, TypeScript) and backend development in Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django).
• Extensive experience designing REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs with API Gateway, Apigee, Cloud Endpoints, and serverless patterns.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services including Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Firestore, API Gateway, Cloud CDN, Identity Platform, IAM.
• Experience with asynchronous task processing (Celery) and event streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
• Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines at scale using Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, and Firebase Hosting.
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Config Connector).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, Cloud Run).
• Strong understanding of application security (Identity Platform, IAM, Cloud KMS, Cloud Armor) and cloud governance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology and Practices.
• Prior experience with microservices architecture and event-driven design.
