Job summary

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (Server 2022 and onwards).
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance of Windows Server OS.
• Troubleshoot server performance, connectivity, and application-related issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and Windows services.
• Monitor server health, CPU, memory, disk usage, and services.
• Perform backup, recovery, and restoration activities per policy.
• Provide L2 support and resolve incidents within SLAs.
• Administer SQL databases: monitoring, backup/restore, performance.
• Coordinate with application, network, security, and other IT teams.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, incidents, changes, and troubleshooting.

Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability of server systems while providing L2 technical support for infrastructure-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2022 and onwards.
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance of Windows Server operating systems.
• Troubleshoot server performance, connectivity, system errors, and application-related infrastructure issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, Group Policies, and other Windows Server administration activities.
• Monitor server health, CPU, memory, disk utilization, services, and system performance.
• Perform server backup, recovery, and restoration activities as per company policies.
• Provide L2 support and resolve server-related incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
• Work on SQL Database administration, including database monitoring, troubleshooting, backup, restore, and performance-related activities.
• AD integration and its processes.
• Coordinate with application, network, security, and other IT teams for infrastructure-related issues.
• Maintain proper documentation of server configurations, incidents, changes, and troubleshooting activities.
• Participate in server upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Participate in on-call support or planned maintenance activities when required.

Required Technical Skills

• Minimum 4–5 years of hands‑on experience as a Server Administrator.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server OS 2022 and onwards.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server administration, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with SQL Database administration.
• Knowledge of backup and restore procedures.
• Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows services.
• Experience in server patch management and security updates.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with cross‑functional IT teams.

Certification

Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) certification is required/preferred.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications will be an added advantage.
