Job summary

Sabre is seeking a Sr Software Systems Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of ServiceNow ITOM capabilities (Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB governance) in a complex enterprise. Hybrid work model with strong collaboration across IT and operations teams.

You will own discovery architecture, CMDB governance, and cloud integration (GCP), while developing workflows and integrations using Flow Designer and APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or information technology.
• 5–6 years of experience implementing and administering ServiceNow ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB).
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure: servers, networks, cloud, containers, apps.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations using APIs and web services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert for ServiceNow ITOM capabilities including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB integration.
• Configure, tune, and troubleshoot ServiceNow Discovery including MID Server configuration, credential management, patterns, probes and sensors, and discovery error resolution.
• Maintain CMDB integrity through identification and reconciliation rules, data normalization, relationship mapping, and CMDB governance alignment.
• Discover and manage cloud resources in GCP including cloud-native services, dynamic infrastructure, and integration of cloud assets into the ServiceNow CMDB.
• Design and implement automation using ServiceNow workflows, Flow Designer, APIs, and integrations with monitoring and infrastructure tools.
• Perform systems performance analysis and root cause analysis of production incidents, including participation in 24/7 coverage as needed.
• Hands‑on development within the ServiceNow platform including client scripts, business rules, ui actions, ui policies, data policies, workflow, flow designer, integration hub spokes, script includes, catalog items, portal widgets, ui pages, event and alert rules.
• Perform code review of peer development changes to ensure compliance with Sabre Development standards and vendor best practices.
• Lead upgrade / patch skip remediation ensuring compliance with Sabre Development standards.
• Take ownership of high level / complex business requirements and work them to completion.
• Understand business user stories to provide the technical design and solution for product enhancements / new features.
• Deliver product enhancements, new features, and defect fixes on time and error free.
• Provide updated documentation of all product work including design, operations, support docs, and release notes.
• Support existing and build new interfaces and have a good understanding of integrations with 3rd party tools.

Sabre is seeking a talented Sr Software Systems Engineer to support the Sabre ServiceNow team. This role will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ServiceNow IT Operations Management capabilities, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB governance, within a complex enterprise environment.

• Minimum of 5-6 years of experience implementing and administering ServiceNow ITOM capabilities including Discovery, Service Mapping and CMDB integration.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure components including servers, networks, cloud platforms, containers, and applications.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, SOA, object‑oriented analysis and design, and application development methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, modules, and functionalities.
• Hands‑on experience in configuring Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, Script Includes, Access Control Lists, complex workflows and Solution migration to higher environment.
• Experience in developing ServiceNow integrations using APIs, web services, and data.
