Job summary

Clarus Advisers is seeking an experienced Business/Functional Analyst to drive ServiceNow implementations. You will translate business needs into functional specifications and work with stakeholders and delivery teams across global engagements.

The ideal candidate has 8-10 years in a similar role, 3-5 years in ServiceNow BA with CMDB, and strong UML, ITIL, and Agile capabilities. ITBM/ITFM/GRC knowledge is a plus; SAFe familiarity is expected.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in a similar enterprise BA/Functional Analyst role.
• 3-5 years as BA in ServiceNow modules including CMDB.
• Strong requirement elicitation, UML, and clear documentation.
• Experience with sprint planning and backlog management.
• ITIL Foundation certification and agile/Scrum familiarity.
• Knowledge of ITBM/ITFM/GRC is a plus; ServiceNow Admin cert is beneficial.

Position Overview

The role will support end-to-end delivery of ServiceNow implementation projects. This role will work closely with stakeholders, clients, and delivery teams to translate business needs into functional solutions across ServiceNow platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong business analysis experience, enterprise delivery discipline, and the ability to support scalable, high-quality outcomes across global engagements.

Responsibilities

• 3.Understand the business processes in detail, applying technical knowledge to shape and 4.plan solutions to deliver and liaise with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate these requirements into ServiceNow functional specifications.


• 5.Should have hands-on experience in sprint planning, tracking, grooming, and prioritizing backlog items.


• 6.Translate requirements from projects and changes into functional specifications for internal and external delivery parties.


• 7.Create and maintain the Business Blueprint (detailed process description and requirements document).


• 8.Should have a good understanding of Agile methodologies and SAFe practices.


• 9.Should have good experience in cross-domain communication, conducting JAD, and stakeholder management.


• 10.Develop acceptance criteria for projects, test plans, and test cases.


• 11.Perform final validation of solution before submission to requester to run the User Acceptance Test.


• 12.Demonstrated experience in dealing with business stakeholders, understanding their requirements, and translating them to functional specifications.


• 13.Work with SMEs, leads, managers, resources, and project/delivery managers to finalize solutions and estimates.


• 14.Manage the Q&A process, including question collection, consolidation, and facilitation with clients.


• 15.Work with project/delivery managers to devise the timeline and schedule for project execution.


• 16.Act as a bridge between the client and delivery team during transition of won opportunities, and support the delivery team during the early stages of the discovery phase.


• 17.Ensure timely and quality delivery of opportunities.


• 18.Stay aligned to best practices and support innovative solutions with understanding of ITIL processes and stakeholder requirements.

Skills & Experience

• 8-10 years of experience in a similar role within an enterprise organization


• 3-5 years of experience working as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst in one or more of the following ServiceNow modules: CMDB


• Experience with requirement elicitation techniques, Unified Modeling Language (UML), and documentation


• Experience with sprint planning, backlog tracking, backlog grooming, and backlog prioritization


• ITIL Foundation certification


• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments


• Preferred:


• 1. Experience or knowledge of ITBM, ITFM, GRC, and CMDB


• 2. ServiceNow System Administrator Certification
