Job summary

Coforge in Delhi is seeking a System Administrator- L3 with 6+ years of expertise in Linux and Unix infrastructure management. You will administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise IT systems to ensure high availability and security.

You will implement hardening, manage services, support virtualization platforms, perform backups/DR, and automate tasks with Shell, Python, or Ansible. Collaboration and thorough documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT/ECE) / MCA / M.Sc. (IT/CS) from a recognised university.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Linux/Unix server environments in production and non-production setups.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Linux operating systems (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Monitor system performance, capacity utilization, and availability.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, authentication services, and security policies.
• Implement and maintain system hardening, security compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
• Configure and manage DNS, NTP, SSH, FTP/SFTP, Web Servers, Proxy Servers, and Mail Services.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper‑V.
• Execute backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell Scripting, Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Work closely with application, network, storage, and security teams for infrastructure support.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, system configurations, and knowledge repositories.
• Provide L3 technical support and serve as an escalation point for critical incidents.
