Position: Infrastructure / System Administrator L2-L3

Education: B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc./MCA or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure/System Administrator with strong hands-on expertise across Windows Server, VMware, Linux, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Hyper-V. The candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, securing, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure, while handling complex escalations and ensuring high availability of critical services.

Key Technical Skills

1. Windows Server & Management

• Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy (GPO), and Certificate Services/PKI.
• Troubleshoot AD trust relationship failures, GPO issues, replication problems, authentication issues, and Windows Event Viewer errors.
• Experience with Task Manager, Resource Monitor, Performance Monitor (Perfmon) and server performance troubleshooting.
• Ability to identify and resolve CPU, memory, disk I/O, and system performance bottlenecks.
• Experience with WSUS, Windows Server patching, update management, server hardening, and security best practices.
• Understanding of tiered administration and privileged access management.

2. VMware – vSphere / ESXi / vCenter

• Strong understanding of ESXi architecture, vCenter Server, vSphere HA, DRS, vMotion, and Datastores.
• Hands-on experience with VMFS and NFS storage.
• Knowledge of Standard Switches, Distributed Switches (vDS), Port Groups, VLAN tagging, and virtual networking.
• Experience with iSCSI/Fibre Channel storage and LUN configuration.
• Troubleshooting experience with PSOD, storage latency, failed vMotion, VM performance issues, and snapshot-related problems.
• Understanding of VM lifecycle management, resource allocation, and capacity management.

3. Linux – Red Hat / Ubuntu / CentOS

• Strong knowledge of Linux filesystem hierarchy, permissions, processes, services, and networking.
• Hands-on command-line experience with grep, tail, awk, systemctl, yum/dnf, apt, etc.
• Experience with LVM, NFS/CIFS mounting, filesystem management, and storage troubleshooting.
• Ability to configure static IP addresses and troubleshoot routing using ip route, ss/netstat, and related utilities.
• Experience integrating Linux systems with Active Directory/LDAP.
• Knowledge of secure SSH configuration, key-based authentication, firewalld/iptables, and Linux security practices.

4. Microsoft 365 / Office 365

• Administration and troubleshooting experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Understanding of Azure AD Connect, hybrid identity, password synchronization, and SSO.
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 licenses, mailbox permissions, distribution groups, MFA, and Conditional Access policies.
• Ability to troubleshoot email delivery and mail-flow issues using message tracing.
• Experience troubleshooting Azure AD Connect synchronization issues.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of PowerShell, particularly Exchange Online PowerShell, for administration and bulk operations.

5. Microsoft Hyper-V

• Strong understanding of Hyper-V architecture, Failover Clustering, and Hyper-V Replica.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting External, Internal, and Private Virtual Switches.
• Knowledge of NIC Teaming and Hyper-V network configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Hyper-V Failover Clusters and Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV).
• Understanding of Live Migration, checkpoints, Integration Services, and VM management.
• Experience with Hyper-V Replica and disaster recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365 infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve L2/L3 infrastructure incidents and critical issues within defined SLAs.

• Support virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, PKI, and identity-related services.
• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services and Entra ID.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring and major incidents.
• Coordinate with network, security, storage, backup, application, and other infrastructure teams.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Participate in change management, incident management, problem management, and disaster recovery activities.
• Identify infrastructure risks, performance bottlenecks, SPOFs, and areas for improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and support to L1/L2 teams.
