Job summary

HotelHub is seeking an experienced Lead System Administrator to oversee and optimise our data centre and cloud infrastructure in Bengaluru. You will manage VMware environments, Windows Server and Linux, implement security controls, and drive automation across on-premises and hybrid platforms.

The role requires strong expertise in RAID, AD/Domain Controllers, Veeam backups, O365 administration, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure reliable, scalable services.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with VMware virtualization and Windows Server AD/DC management.
• Hands-on Linux systems administration and comfort with network infrastructure.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and IT governance standards (ISO).
• Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python to automate tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud/hybrid infrastructure and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Security: implement firewall policies, deploy endpoint protection, assist users.
• Data & Domain Management: manage domain controllers, VLANs, routing, VLAN/WLAN infra; RAID config/manage.
• Admin: manage Windows/Linux servers, data center monitoring, backups with Veeam.
• Scripting & Integration: create documentation, automate tasks, support cloud/hybrid integrations.
• Compliance: ISO compliance and IT asset inventory; admin of Office 365; Google Workspace knowledge.

Lead System Admin

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimise the organisation’s systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Security:

• Implement, configure, and monitor firewall policies to ensure secure access.
• Deploy and manage endpoint security solutions (antivirus, EDR).
• Provide technical assistance to users for desktops, laptops, applications, and peripherals.

Data & Domain Management:

• Manage and secure domain controllers, ensuring proper authentication, replication, and GPO policies.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, routing, switching, and WLAN infrastructure.
• Perform installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting of physical servers, with strong proficiency in RAID configuration and management.
• Manage and maintain VMware virtualization platforms, including provisioning, migration, and performance monitoring.

Admin:

• Administer Windows Server environments, including installation, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Support data center activities including monitoring, capacity planning, backup, and recovery.
• Manage and monitor data backups using Veeam and native platform tools; ensure reliable recovery.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux environments, ensuring performance and stability.

Scripting and Integration:

• Create and maintain detailed documentation, including diagrams of database infrastructure.
• Support cloud infrastructure operations and hybrid integrations.
• Develop scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Batch to automate routine tasks.

Compliance:

• Ensure ISO compliance and maintain accurate IT asset and software inventory records.
• Administer Office 365 services; support Google Workspace as an added advantage.

Job Skills/Competencies/Experience:

• Strong experience in VMware virtualisation.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Domain Controller management.
• Hands-on expertise with Linux systems administration.
• Strong networking skills (VLANs, routing, WLAN, firewall configuration).
• Proficiency in server hardware and RAID management.
• Knowledge of endpoint protection and Veeam backup solutions.
• Knowledge on Infrastructure automation tool such as Ansible Cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS preferred).
• Experience on Mobile Device Management
• Proficiency in Office 365 administration; Google Workspace knowledge is a plus.
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Batch).
• Awareness of ISO compliance and IT governance standards.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills.
