Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services in Bengaluru, Karnataka seeks an experienced Warehouse Manager to supervise warehouse operations, lead supervisors, and ensure safe, efficient storage, handling and dispatch of materials.

The role involves coordinating with Purchase, Production, Dispatch, Logistics and Accounts, maintaining accurate stock records, conducting stock verification, and preparing routine warehouse reports. Prior ERP/SAP and MS Excel proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Warehouse/Stores/Material Management is essential.
  • Supervising warehouse manpower and day-to-day operations.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, stock management, material movement and documentation.
  • Familiarity with ERP/SAP or warehouse/inventory management systems preferred.
  • Ability to manage teams, allocate manpower and ensure productivity.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety and material-handling procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and operational reporting.

  • Monitor inward and outward movement of materials and ensure proper documentation.
  • Maintain systematic storage with proper identification and location management.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining accurate stock records.
  • Conduct and coordinate stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Dispatch, Logistics, Accounts and other departments.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and take corrective action.
  • Train and guide warehouse personnel on processes, safety and material-handling practices.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly warehouse reports for management.

Role & responsibilities
  • Supervise warehouse and stores operations and manage team performance.
  • Maintaining productivity, quality, discipline, and compliance with company procedures.
  • Manage and coordinate warehouse supervisors, store personnel, helpers and other operational staff.
  • Ensure proper receipt, storage, handling, issue and dispatch of materials.
  • Monitor inward and outward movement of materials and ensure proper documentation.
  • Ensure materials are stored systematically with proper identification and location management.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining accurate stock records.
  • Conduct and coordinate physical stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
  • Monitor employee attendance, productivity, discipline and manpower utilization.
  • Allocate work and manpower according to daily warehouse requirements.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials to minimize damage, shortage and wastage.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization and safe working conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures, quality standards and company policies.
  • Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Dispatch, Logistics, Accounts and other concerned departments.
  • Monitor loading/unloading activities wherever applicable.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Handle day-to-day operational escalations and resolve warehouse-related issues.
  • Train and guide warehouse personnel on processes, safety and material-handling practices.
  • Maintain proper records and prepare daily, weekly and monthly warehouse reports for management.
  • Support implementation and adherence to SOPs and inventory-control procedures.
Preferred candidate profile
  • Prior experience in Warehouse / Stores / Material Management is essential.
  • Experience in supervising warehouse manpower and day-to-day warehouse operations.
  • Good understanding of inventory control, stock management, material movement and documentation.
  • Familiarity with ERP/SAP or warehouse/inventory management systems will be preferred.
  • Ability to manage teams, allocate manpower and ensure productivity.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety and material-handling procedures.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel and operational reporting.
  • Candidates from manufacturing, logistics, distribution, retail or similar warehouse-intensive industries may be considered depending upon the company's requirement.
