Job summary

Qualifications

3–5 years of professional software development experience across front-end and backend technologies.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or React.
Strong experience with responsive UI design using SASS, LESS, and modern CSS layout techniques.
Experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Experience designing and building microservices and RESTful APIs.
Experience with AWS cloud technology and containerized environments.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, and GitLab.

Job description

Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive, accessible, and maintainable web applications and backend services
Build modern user interfaces using JavaScript frameworks and component-based architectures
Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot to support Single Page Applications and external integrations
Ensure applications are performant, secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architectural standards
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and service interfaces
Write structured, testable, and efficient code according to coding standards and best practices
Participate in code reviews, pull request reviews, and continuous code-quality improvement
Define and contribute to shared frameworks, reusable components, and development standards
Ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements, including WCAG compliance
Contribute across the development lifecycle from design through build, test, and release
Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, Architects, and developers to translate requirements into technical solutions
Support unit testing and end-to-end testing
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior developers as required
Support CI/CD pipelines and automated build processes
Diagnose and resolve production and non-production issues
Contribute to release preparation and ongoing application support
Work within cloud-based and containerised deployment environments

Requirements

University or college education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
3–5 years of professional software development experience across front-end and backend technologies
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or React
Strong experience with responsive UI design using SASS, LESS, and modern CSS layout techniques such as CSS Grid
Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and client-side debugging tools
Experience building applications compliant with WCAG accessibility guidelines
Experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot
Experience designing and building microservices and RESTful APIs
Experience with AWS cloud technology
Exposure to Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Docker, Kafka, and Swagger
Strong understanding of modular and service-based architectures
Experience integrating backend services with front-end applications
Working knowledge of MongoDB
Familiarity with NoSQL and relational databases
Strong working knowledge of Git or similar version control systems
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, and GitLab, or equivalent
Exposure to cloud-first development and containerised environments
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
