Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru, India, is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and architect Manageability features for Storage products. You will implement, test, and verify production systems while improving performance, reliability, and availability across StorageGRID platforms.

The role requires mentoring peers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving AI-native development with a metrics-driven approach to deliver timely, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering.
• BS in Engineering/CS; MS or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Golang or Node.js.
• Experience with Ruby, Python, or Java is a plus.
• Strong object-oriented design, network programming, and HTTP.
• Experience with AWS S3 and file systems.
• Experience with Cassandra/CQL, NoSQL or SQL databases.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and HPC.
• Linux and containers experience.
• AI-native engineering, Agile, TDD, and continuous integration.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum/Scrum of Scrums development methodologies.
• Proven track record delivering complex technical projects within a team environment and meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to work with remote teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in control plane design and development methodologies, software development protocols, and client-server architectures.
• Familiarity with computer architecture, data structures, and standard programming practices.
• Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.
