Job summary

Wisdom Properties in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to lead residential construction projects from foundation to handover. You will ensure compliance with architectural and structural drawings, supervise RCC works, and manage materials and manpower on site.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, 5–10 years' experience in villa or apartment construction, and strong knowledge of RCC, AutoCAD, and Excel.

Qualifications

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute construction according to approved architectural, structural and service drawings.
• Manage setting-out, excavation, foundations, RCC works, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, painting and finishing.
• Prepare construction schedules, weekly work plans and material and manpower requirements.
• Organise and supervise contractors, subcontractors, labour teams and suppliers.
• Calculate quantities, prepare BOQs and material estimates, and verify contractor measurements and bills.
• Control material consumption, wastage, workmanship and construction costs.
• Coordinate plumbing, electrical and other building services to avoid conflicts and rework.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants and management to resolve technical issues.
• Check reinforcement, shuttering and other critical works before proceeding to the next stage.
• Maintain site safety, quality checks, daily progress reports, measurement records and material registers.
• Identify delays and execution problems early and implement practical corrective action.
• Complete snag rectification and support project handover.

Candidate requirements

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Preferably 510 years of relevant residential construction experience.
• Proven experience independently handling villa or apartment construction through major execution stages and finishing.
• Strong knowledge of RCC construction, drawing interpretation, quantity estimation, contractor management and quality control.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively with labour teams, contractors, consultants and management.
• Tamil communication skills required; working knowledge of English preferred.
• Willingness to work across the listed project locations.

Preferred experience

• Completed residential projects from foundation to handover.
• Experience managing multiple work fronts or sites.
• Familiarity with local construction suppliers and labour resources.
