Chandigarh University is seeking an experienced security supervisor to oversee girls' hostels and sensitive areas. You will lead female security personnel, ensure rigorous access-control protocols, and coordinate with hostel wardens to safeguard students.

The role requires a background in defence or police, strong leadership and emergency-response skills, and experience supervising security teams in campus or corporate environments. This is a full-time on-site position at the university campus.

Formación

• Experience in security operations, defence, police or para-military sectors.
• Supervising security teams and resident facilities.
• Ability to implement access-control and identification protocols.
• Experience in campus or corporate security preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure effective security coverage and supervision across girls' hostels, female residential areas and other designated sensitive locations.
• Monitor deployment and performance of female security personnel and ensure adequate coverage across shifts.
• Conduct regular security inspections and identify vulnerabilities and areas requiring corrective action.
• Ensure strict implementation of entry, exit, visitor, access-control and identification protocols in girls' hostels.
• Coordinate with Hostel Wardens and Student Affairs teams on matters concerning student safety and security.
• Maintain heightened vigilance during late-night hours, student movement, events, examinations and other high-footfall periods.
• Ensure appropriate security arrangements during movement of students outside hostels and during university events.

Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Retired Defence personnel / Defence background candidates will be preferred.
• Candidates from Armed Forces, JCOs, Police, Para-military or Government Security Services are strongly preferred.
• 1015 years of relevant experience in security operations, defence, police, para-military, institutional/campus or corporate security.
• Experience in supervising security teams, hostels/residential facilities and sensitive environments will be an advantage.
• Strong leadership, discipline, communication, situational awareness and emergency-response skills.
