Job summary

MitKat Advisory is seeking a Security Supervisor to implement and enforce physical security procedures, and to serve as a shift duty officer in the Security Operations Center. The role involves supervising guarding teams, training staff, and handling access control, visitor screening, and CCTV monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate or diploma with 2+ years in security or 3–4 years of relevant experience, and may hold certifications in physical security or fire safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma holder with 2 years minimum experience OR 3–4 years in physical security.
• Past experience supervising field security guarding teams is preferred.
• Certification/training in physical security, fire safety, or related areas is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and ensure compliance with security procedures focused on physical security operations.
• Perform duties as shift duty officer in rotational shifts to man the Security Operations Center.
• Supervise security guard attendance and ensure positions are fulfilled per checkpoints.
• Conduct routine briefings/training of security guarding team on important security topics.
• Address emails/phone queries from employees, end users, or branch counterparts.
• Monitor access control, ensure ID/Access Cards/Visitor passes are used on premises.
• Oversee visitor screening procedures and CCTV system reviews for anomalies.
• Coordinate with service providers to resolve CCTV snags and maintain gate passes.
• Conduct reviews to minimize manual errors in security records and patrol premises for hazards.
• Oversee Fire Alarm Panel and PA system functionality and respond to emergencies.
• Operate fire extinguishers/hydrants as needed and document incidents.
• Prepare security incident reports after initial fact-finding.

Job Description

• To implement and ensure compliance with security procedures specifically focused on physical security operations.
• To perform duties of shift duty officer in rotational shifts to man Security Operations Center. Being shift duty officer the executive shall assume charge of shift security guarding team.
• To supervise security guard attendance register to ensure security positions are fulfilled as per defined checkpoints.
• To conduct routine briefing/training of security guarding team on important subjects related to security.
• To provide responses/answers to challenges/concerns highlighted on emails/phones lines by employees/end users/branch counterparts or reported directly by field security team.
• To ensure security guards monitor physical access control of the premises to prevent potential breaches. Also, to oversee controls are in place to ensure Employee/users/visitors carry their ID/Access Cards/Visitor pass while accessing the premises.
• To ensure visitor screening procedures are duly followed by security guarding team.
• To review CCTV system for anomalies and log records of CCTV retention.
• To co-ordinate with service provider to resolve snags reported on CCTV system.
• To ensure maintenance of registers/gate pass to control incoming and outgoing material movement.
• To conduct reviews focused on minimizing manual errors in registers/records maintained by security guarding team.
• To patrol office premises to highlight potential security/safety hazards or security breaches to respective authorities.
• To oversee Fire Alarm Panel, PA system to ensure that these systems are functional.
• To address emergencies such as medical or security/fire related incidents and provide required support.
• To operate Fire Extinguisher/ Fire Hydrant Hose as per situational requirement on mitigation of Fire incident.
• To perform initial fact finding of reported incidents and prepare security incident reports.

Qualifications & Skills (Required)

• Candidate should be Graduate or Diploma holder with minimum 02 years of relevant experience OR Having good experience in physical security for minimum 3 to 4 years.
• Preferably candidates with past experience of supervising field security guarding team.
• Experience on handling security equipment, first aid, incident handling is preferred.Certification/Training in the area of physical security, fire safety, fire extinguishers would be added advantage.
