Job summary

Adissia Developers is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to handle cost estimation, tender management, and on-site financial control for construction projects. The role requires strong BOQ preparation skills, familiarity with IS 1200 standards, and experience with contract types such as FIDIC and CPWD.

The candidate should bring 3–8 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel, and knowledge of QS software like CostX or PlanSwift.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor, real estate developer, or PMC.
• Strong practical knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, IS 1200 standards (or SMM7/RICS if international).
• Experience with estimation and contract types (FIDIC, CPWD, etc.).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel (Advanced formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Familiarity with QS software like CostX, PlanSwift, MS Project, or SAP/ERP is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed material take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and budget plans from drawings and specs.
• Prepare tender documents, analyze bids, evaluate contractor quotes, and assist in negotiations.
• Track project expenses against budget; identify risks and propose cost-saving solutions.
• Measure work on-site, verify interim payments, and process progress payments.
• Conduct site visits to measure progress and liaise with engineers, PMs, clients, and consultants.
• Prepare monthly commercial reports, cash-flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete estimates.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Planning: Prepare detailed material take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and budget plans based on architectural/engineering drawings and specifications.
• Contract & Tender Management: Prepare tender documents, analyze incoming bids, evaluate contractor/subcontractor quotes, and assist in negotiating terms and contract awards.
• Cost Control & Financial Monitoring: Track project expenses against the budget, identify financial risks, recommend cost-saving solutions (Value Engineering), and manage variation/change orders.
• Billing & Certifications: Measure work completed on-site, verify vendor/subcontractor interim payment applications (R.A. bills), and process progress payments.
• Site & Stakeholder Coordination: Conduct regular site visits to measure ongoing progress, reconcile materials, and liaise with site engineers, project managers, clients, and consultants.
• Final Settlement & Reporting: Prepare monthly commercial reports, cash-flow forecasts, cost-to-complete estimates, and finalize project closeout accounts.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management.
• Experience: 3 to 8 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor, real estate developer, or project management consultancy (PMC).
• Domain Expertise: Strong practical knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, IS 1200 standards (or SMM7/RICS if international), estimation, and contract types (FIDIC, CPWD, etc.).
