Job summary

Samsung C&T India Pvt. Ltd is seeking a Senior QA/QC Manager – Civil with a strong civil engineering background and at least 15 years of QA/QC experience on large-scale construction projects.

The ideal candidate will lead the QA/QC function for civil and structural works, develop and monitor the QAP/QCP, and coordinate with PMC consultants, architects, contractors and project teams to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications and codes. Prior PMC and high-rise project exposure is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC across civil and structural works.
• Develop and monitor QA/QC plans (QAP/QCP).

• Review method statements, ITPs, checklists and procedures.
• Monitor RCC, reinforcement, formwork, waterproofing and finishing works.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits; implement corrective actions.

• Review material approvals and laboratory reports.
• Ensure NCR, CAR and preventive/corrective actions are followed.
• Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation and records.
• Participate in technical meetings and project reviews.
• Identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes, specs and client requirements.
• Lead and mentor QA/QC team across multiple fronts.
• Provide regular quality reports to senior management.

JOB DESCRIPTION – SENIOR QA/QC MANAGER (CIVIL)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA/QC Manager – Civil with a strong civil engineering background and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in quality assurance and quality control for large-scale construction projects.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience working on PMC projects and high-rise buildings, with strong expertise in implementing quality management systems, reviewing construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QA/QC function for civil and structural works across the project.
• Develop, implement, and monitor the project Quality Assurance & Quality Control Plan (QAP/QCP).
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs and applicable codes and standards.
• Review and approve Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists and quality procedures.
• Monitor quality of civil and structural works including RCC, reinforcement, formwork, waterproofing, masonry, plastering, façade-related interfaces and finishing works.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to identify non-conformities and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate with PMC consultants, architects, contractors, subcontractors and project management teams on quality-related matters.
• Review material approvals, material test certificates, laboratory reports and inspection records.
• Ensure proper implementation of NCR, CAR and preventive/corrective action procedures.
• Monitor concrete quality, cube testing, reinforcement inspection, structural works and other critical construction activities.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation and quality records.
• Participate in technical meetings, quality audits, inspections and project reviews.
• Identify recurring quality issues and implement measures to prevent reoccurrence.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IS Codes, project specifications, international standards and client requirements.
• Lead and mentor the QA/QC team and coordinate quality activities across multiple contractors and work fronts.
• Provide regular quality reports, dashboards and updates to senior project management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 15 years of overall experience in civil construction and QA/QC.
• Strong experience in high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use or large-scale building projects.
• Mandatory experience working on PMC / Project Management Consultancy projects.
• Experience in managing QA/QC activities for major construction projects from excavation through finishing and handover.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, ITPs, Method Statements, NCRs, audits and quality documentation.
• Good knowledge of RCC, structural works, waterproofing, masonry and finishing works.
• Familiarity with relevant IS Codes, specifications and quality standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills.
