Job summary

Balajee Infratech & Constructions Pvt Ltd. is seeking a diligent QA/QC Civil Engineer to oversee quality across civil projects, including dams, tunnels, canals, roads and highways. You will ensure all QA/QC documents are complete and compliant, while developing testing standards and coordinating inspection activities.

The role requires hands-on site experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams to uphold project specifications and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Quality Standards for soils, aggregates, sand, etc.
• Good knowledge in Quality Frequency Test.
• Proactive and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for quality and all civil construction aspects (damn, tunnels, canals, roads, highways).
• Manage QA/QC documents: certificates, test results, non-compliance reports and site instructions.
• Develop and enforce inspection/test standards; oversee testing methods.
• Review site material specifications: soil, aggregates, sand, cement, steel.
• Ensure compliance with project specs; coordinate material procurement and quality.
• Oversee test/inspection schedules; conduct quality audits across teams.
• Record project activities and analyze processes to ensure quality.
• Maintain QA processes and propose corrective actions.
• Create method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, and checklists.
• Liaise with Technical Engineer for material submittals.
• Construction claims management.

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

1. Accountable for the quality and all aspects of engineering construction relating to Civil e.g. Damn, Tunnels, Canals, Roads, Highways etc.
2. Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
3. Develop and determine all standards to perform inspections and tests on all procedures, oversee all testing methods, and maintain high-quality standards for all processes.
4. Review the quality of all materials Specifications i.e., Soil, Aggregates, Sand, Cement, Steel, Concretes, etc. at site.
5. Ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and quality materials.
6. Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence to all procedures, and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.
7. Monitor an efficient system, record all project activities, and analyze all processes to ensure all work meets quality requirements.
8. Manage all work methods, maintain knowledge on quality assurance standards, monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes, and recommend corrective actions for all operations.
9. Develop a method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.
10. Liaise the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to consultant

• Must have in-depth knowledge of Quality Standards Control into Soil, Aggregates, Sand etc. & other Procedures in Construction Industry.
• Good knowledge in Quality Frequency Test.
