Job summary

Travel Corporation (India) Ltd. seeks an experienced QA engineer to design and execute test plans and automate test scripts.

You will conduct functional, integration, regression and UAT testing, verify defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across web, mobile and cloud-based applications. Ideal candidates have 6-8 years in QA, hands-on manual and automation experience with Selenium/WebDriver, Cypress or Playwright, plus API testing and SQL/database validation.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of Software QA/testing experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC and Agile/Scrum.
• Hands-on manual testing and test automation expertise.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver and modern test frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans, cases and scripts.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, smoke and UAT testing.

• Collaborate with BAs, developers and PO to define quality standards.
• Identify, log and verify defects using defect tracking tools.
• Participate in requirement reviews from QA perspective.

• Validate performance, usability and security requirements.
• Generate test execution reports and quality metrics.
• Support production releases and post-deployment validation.

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, smoke, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to understand requirements and define quality standards.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
• Conduct API testing, database testing, and end-to-end application testing.
• Validate application performance, usability, and security requirements.
• Generate test execution reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Support production releases and conduct post-deployment validation.

Preferred candidate profile

• 6-8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing and Test Automation.
• Experience with automation tools such as:
• Selenium WebDriver
• TestNG/JUnit
• Cypress (preferred)
• Playwright (preferred)
• Experience in API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of web, mobile, and cloud-based application testing.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
