Job summary

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software testing/QA experience with automation exposure.
  • Proven ability to design and execute test plans and cases.
  • Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and testing tools like Postman.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, STLC & Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with automation tools for testing.
  • Good understanding of performance testing concepts.
  • Familiarity with programming basics in Java/Python/JS.

Role: The Senior QA is responsible for designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test cases while collaborating with teams to meet business and technical requirements, ensuring high-quality software delivery. This role involves identifying defects, analysing issues, improving testing processes, and contributing to overall product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Execution: Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate software functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and report software defects, ensuring timely resolution by collaborating with development teams.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure compliance with quality assurance processes, guidelines, and best practices throughout the SDLC.
  • Requirement Analysis: Review and analyse business requirements, technical specifications, and use cases to develop robust testing strategies.
  • Automation: Utilize testing tools to execute automated and manual tests when appropriate, ensuring efficiency in the testing lifecycle.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality products.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks, prioritize test efforts, and assess impact to ensure reliability of software products.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of test cases, test results, and QA processes. Report clearly on product quality.
  • Client Engagement: Engage and communicate directly with client stakeholders for joint platform testing projects where applicable.
Must have skills
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, including at least 1+ year working with an automation tool.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in testing REST APIs and microservices and familiarity with tools such as Postman.
  • Experience in designing, executing, and reporting performance test cases.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
Good to have
  • Experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and Test Management tools.
