Job summary

Keka Technologies Private Limited in Mohali is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will design and execute test plans, perform various testing types, and mentor junior QA engineers.

The role requires strong experience in manual and automation testing, API testing, and working with Jira/TestRail/Zephyr. You will collaborate with developers and product teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing and automation testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and testing methodologies.
• Experience in functional, regression, integration, system, and API testing.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr or similar).
• Knowledge of REST APIs and API testing tools like Postman.
• SQL/database testing knowledge.
• Familiarity with Git/version control systems.
• Strong Agile/Scrum knowledge.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, track, and manage bugs throughout the SDLC.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform API testing and validate backend functionality.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate frameworks and tools.
• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, test planning, and release activities.
• Ensure adequate test coverage and identify quality risks early in development.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring defects and work with teams on resolution.
• Review and improve QA processes, testing methodologies, and documentation.
• Prepare and share test reports, defect reports, and QA status updates.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to testing practices.
