Job summary

Classic Civil Engineers in Haryana Gurugram is seeking a seasoned Procurement & Vendor Management professional to lead material sourcing, vendor development, and ERP-based purchases for large-scale civil projects. You will coordinate with project teams, manage equipment hiring and logistics, and implement cost-control measures to ensure on-time delivery within budget.

8+ years in real estate/construction procurement, a B.Tech in Civil Engineering, and strong negotiation and Excel skills are

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction materials and procurement processes.
• Excellent vendor development and commercial negotiation skills.
• Experience in contractor management, machinery hiring, and logistics coordination.
• Hands-on experience with ERP-based procurement systems (BUIDO ERP preferred).
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong planning, analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Procure civil construction materials including RMC Cement, TMT steel, Structural Steel, tiles, Sanitary Ware, Plumbing materials, Scaffolding, Safety PPE, Hilti Materials & Tools and Other project requirements.
• Finalize and develop vendors for glazing, doors, windows, facade works, painting, flooring, and other construction packages.
• Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize purchase orders.
• Develop alternate vendors to ensure competitive pricing and uninterrupted material supply.
• Coordinate procurement for specialized works such as temple construction, Main gate, landscape, clubhouses, and other project activities.
• Finalize petty contractors for painting, flooring, and other finishing works.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and Vendors to ensure timely material delivery and work completion.
• Arrange hiring of construction equipment such as Tower Cranes, Mobile Cranes, Boom Placers, Passengers Hoists, DG Sets and Other Machinery.
• Manage transportation activities for company-owned and hired vehicles.
• Ensure timely availability of machinery and materials at project sites.
• Prepare PRs, RFQs, Comparative Statements (CS), Purchase Orders (PO), and Work Orders (WO).
• Create and manage Purchase Orders through the ERP system.
• Maintain procurement records and generate MIS reports.
• Participate in the implementation and enhancement of the BUIDO ERP procurement module.
• Ensure timely procurement while maintaining quality, budget, and project timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores to avoid shortages.
• Verify contractor bills and coordinate with Finance and Accounts.
• Build strong vendor relationships and identify cost-saving opportunities through effective negotiations.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the Purchase Department of a Real Estate, Construction, Infrastructure, or EPC company.
• Proven experience in procurement of civil materials, vendor management, equipment hiring, transportation coordination, and ERP-based purchase operations.
