Job summary

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials, MEP items, finishing materials, and site requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, compare analyses, negotiate prices and terms.
• Prepare POs and ensure timely processing and approvals.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, stores, and accounts for procurement planning.
• Monitor material deliveries and ensure quality and timelines.
• Maintain vendor database, records, and documentation.
• Track pending POs and follow up for timely deliveries.
• Ensure procurement actions comply with policies and budget.
• Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payments.
• Evaluate vendor performance and build long-term relationships.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Assist in rate contracts, tendering, and contract negotiations.
• Prepare MIS reports on procurement, vendor performance, and costs.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials, MEP items, finishing materials, and site requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, conduct comparative analysis, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely processing and approvals.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, stores, and accounts for procurement planning and material availability.
• Monitor material deliveries and ensure compliance with quality specifications and project timelines.
• Maintain vendor database, purchase records, and procurement documentation.
• Track pending purchase orders and follow up with vendors for timely deliveries.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and budget requirements.
• Coordinate with the accounts department for invoice verification and vendor payments.
• Evaluate vendor performance and develop long-term supplier relationships.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Assist in annual rate contracts, tendering, and contract negotiations where required.
• Prepare periodic MIS reports related to procurement, vendor performance, and cost analysis.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 37 years of procurement experience in the real estate or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, MEP items, finishing products, and vendor management.
• Experience in handling procurement for multiple construction sites is preferred.
• Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or any construction ERP).
