• Ability to coordinate effectively with project/site teams.

Job Description Purchase Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials, finishing materials, MEP materials, consumables and site requirements.
• Handle procurement for multi-storey/high-rise building projects from initial stages through completion.
• Study material indents, BOQs, specifications and project requirements and arrange timely procurement.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers/vendors.
• Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate rates, payment terms, credit period, delivery schedules and commercial conditions.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements and company procedures.
• Coordinate with Project, Planning, Billing, Stores, Accounts and Engineering teams for procurement planning.
• Follow up with vendors for material manufacturing, dispatch and delivery to ensure uninterrupted site progress.
• Verify material specifications, quantities, rates and approved brands before placing orders.
• Maintain proper records of enquiries, quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, delivery challans and invoices.
• Monitor market prices and identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
• Develop alternate vendors and ensure competitive procurement.
• Resolve issues related to shortages, quality, delayed deliveries and material discrepancies.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project budgets and approved specifications.
• Maintain procurement data and reports through the company's ERP system.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchase/procurement in a real estate or construction company.
• Proven experience in multi-storey building and high-rise construction projects.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, vendors and the Pune market.
• Graduate in any discipline; engineering/construction-related qualification will be an advantage.
• Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic MIS/reporting.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with project/site teams.
• Good communication, follow-up and problem-solving skills.

Experience in procurement of:

• Civil construction materials
• RMC, cement, steel and reinforcement materials
• AAC blocks, bricks and masonry materials
