Job summary

Qualifications

• Any Graduation / M.Com / MBA in SCM.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with goals and production requirements.
• Manage procurement planning for paper and raw materials per forecasts and production plans.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery.
• Establish strong vendor relationships to resolve lead-time issues and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with production, finance, and quality to align procurement with operations.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and monitor turnover, lead times, and consumption to forecast demand.
• Lead monthly stock-taking and GRN entries through the ERP system.
• Analyze procurement expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities; explore alternative suppliers.
• Prepare and manage procurement budgets and report variances to senior management.
• Partner with quality assurance for supplier evaluations and quality audits; stay updated on regulations.

Position Overview

Responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and maintaining vendor relationships to optimize costs and support operational efficiency within the manufacturing unit.

• Experience: 5+ Years in Manufacturing or Related Industry

1. Procurement & Sourcing Planning

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and production requirements.
• Manage procurement planning for paper and raw materials in accordance with monthly forecasts and production plans.

2. Vendor Management & Negotiation

• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers based on quality, price negotiation, reliability, and delivery capability.
• Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to resolve lead-time issues and ensure on-time material delivery.
• Communicate and follow up with suppliers to secure materials within required operational timelines.
• Coordinate with internal departments (production, finance, quality) to align procurement with daily operations.

3. Inventory Control & ERP Systems

• Maintain optimal inventory levels to eliminate stock-outs and minimize excess inventory.
• Monitor inventory turnover rates, lead times, and consumption patterns to forecast demand and adjust purchasing plans.
• Lead monthly stock-taking and physical inventory verification activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely Goods Receipt Note (GRN) entries through the ERP system.

4. Cost Control & Budgeting

• Analyze procurement expenses (purchase prices, freight, inventory carrying costs) to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Explore alternative suppliers and sourcing channels to optimize procurement processes.
• Prepare and manage procurement budgets, track expenses, and report variance analysis to senior management.

5. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Partner with the quality control team for supplier evaluations, material inspections, and quality audits.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure overall supply chain compliance.
