Job description

Senior Program Manager Academy

Location: Hyderabad / On-site (NIAT Campuses)

Employment Type: Full-Time (6-Day Week)

Role Level: Senior / Leadership

Division: Academy Operations & Execution

About the Role

We are looking for a high-impact, data-driven Senior Program Manager - Academy to own execution rigor, cross-functional alignment, and performance optimization across 3-4 core Academy functions, including Product, Tech, Sales, and Pre-Sales.

In this role, you will act as the operational engine of the Academy—converting overarching strategy into granular sprint plans, tracking critical revenue and retention outcomes, removing operational bottlenecks, and ensuring cross-functional teams deliver on strategic priorities with speed and governance discipline.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
1. Operational Rhythm & Execution Governance
  • Establish and drive a consistent weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating rhythm across assigned Academy functions with 95%+ adherence to reviews, dashboards, action tracking, and resolution of strategic priorities.
  • Oversee sprint planning and timelines across Product & Tech teams, ensuring deliverables stay aligned with broader Academy milestones.
  • Deliver 90%+ of assigned strategic initiatives across Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, and Tech within agreed timelines and business outcomes.
2. Performance Tracking & KPI Ownership
  • Maintain 100% visibility into critical KPIs, operational risks, and dependencies through accurate weekly dashboards and Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs).
  • Drive measurable improvements across key functional metrics with defined baselines, clear targets, single-point owners, and actionable quarterly/monthly roadmaps.
3. Student Retention, Placements & Cohort Health
  • Deep-dive into student cohort data to analyze learning engagement, payment retention, and placement readiness metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Student Success teams to build targeted action plans that improve retention and payment compliance.
4. Cross-Functional & Multi-Regional Alignment
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional leaders to drive change initiatives, align priorities, and foster systemic adoption of execution frameworks.
  • Collaborate with multi-regional sales and operations teams to maintain performance consistency and execution speed across distributed units.
5. Team Building & Leadership
  • Scale organizational capability by hiring, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams across levels (minimum experience hiring 5+ Manager-level roles along with Associate-level hires).
  • Build team capacity roadmaps aligned with long-term organizational scalability and performance benchmarks.
Key Competencies & What We Look For
  • Execution Excellence: Proven track record of translating high-level business strategy into concrete milestones, assigned owners, and strict deadlines without compromising governance.
  • Problem Solving & Deep-Diving: Strong inclination to uncover root causes rather than patching surface-level symptoms; relentlessly focused on driving business outcomes.
  • Data-Driven & Risk-Aware Decision Making: Superior analytical capacity with the ability to connect complex operational and revenue data to core business challenges and actionable solutions.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Demonstrated success in identifying operational inefficiencies, improving productivity, enforcing compliance, and optimizing cost efficiencies.
  • Influence & Stakeholder Management: Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills to influence leaders, align multi-regional teams, and manage matrixed dependencies seamlessly.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: 6-10 years of experience in Program Management, Operations, Strategy & Operations, or Business Excellence within fast-paced EdTech, Tech, or High-Growth Startup environments.
  • Hiring Track Record: Demonstrated experience in hiring and managing teams across levels, including at least 5+ Manager-level hires.
  • Analytical Tools: Proficiency with data analytics, operational dashboards (SQL, BI tools, Excel/Google Sheets), and project management frameworks (Jira, Asana, Notion, or similar).
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field from a Tier-1 institute is preferred.
What We Offer
  • High visibility and direct partnership with executive leadership to shape the strategic execution of the Academy.
  • Ownership over multi-departmental roadmaps and high-stakes revenue/retention initiatives.
  • A fast-paced, high-growth environment focused on scaling impact across tech education and career delivery.
