Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
• Experience in HT/LT electrical panel manufacturing and assembly is preferred.
• Strong leadership, planning, coordination and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production plans, allocate manpower and resources to meet targets.
• Lead and supervise production engineers, supervisors, technicians and wiring teams.
• Oversee panel assembly, busbar fabrication, installation, wiring, ferruling and final assembly.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, BOMs, specifications, quality standards and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality and Project departments to resolve issues.
• Monitor daily output, productivity, material usage, delays and rework levels.
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly production reports to management.
• Ensure timely availability of components, tools and equipment with Purchase/Stores.
• Identify bottlenecks, reduce wastage, improve productivity and implement efficient methods.
• Maintain workplace safety, 5S, housekeeping and company policies.

Job Summary

Astek Electricals India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Production Manager to manage and supervise the production of HT/LT electrical control panels and switchboards. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent team management and reporting skills, and the ability to achieve production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning: Prepare production plans, allocate manpower and resources, and ensure timely completion of production targets.
• Team Management: Lead and supervise production engineers, supervisors, technicians, electricians, wiring teams, and assembly personnel.
• Electrical Panel Assembly: Oversee panel assembly, busbar fabrication and installation, component mounting, internal wiring, ferruling, and final assembly activities.
• Quality Control: Ensure production activities comply with approved drawings, BOMs, specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Drawing & Technical Coordination: Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Project departments to resolve technical issues and avoid production delays.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor daily production output, manpower productivity, material utilization, pending work, and rejection or rework levels.
• Reporting & MIS: Obtain regular reports from production engineers and supervisors and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management.
• Resource Management: Ensure timely availability of components, raw materials, tools, and equipment in coordination with the Purchase and Stores departments.
• Process Improvement: Identify production bottlenecks, reduce wastage and rework, improve productivity, and implement efficient working methods.
• Safety & Discipline: Maintain workplace safety, 5S practices, housekeeping, discipline, and compliance with company policies.
• Delivery Management: Coordinate with the Project and Planning teams to ensure production and dispatch schedules are achieved.
• Training & Development: Train team members, evaluate their performance, and develop their technical and supervisory capabilities.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong experience in HT/LT electrical panel manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Excellent leadership, team handling, and manpower management skills.
• Strong planning, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to monitor team performance and obtain timely, accurate reports.
• Knowledge of electrical drawings, SLDs, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and panel assembly processes.
• Good understanding of production planning, quality control, productivity, and delivery management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, production MIS, and ERP systems.
• Strong communication, accountability, and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an electrical panel manufacturing or panel assembly company.
• Experience handling multiple production teams and managing high-volume or project-based production.
• Experience in HT/LT switchboards, PCC, MCC, APFC, feeder pillars, and other industrial electrical panels.
• Demonstrated ability to improve production efficiency, reduce rework, and achieve delivery commitments.
