Role Description

The Senior Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing end-to-end production activities in the packaging facility. This role manages daily production schedules, monitors workflow and output, and ensures products meet quality, safety, and compliance standards. The Senior Production Manager will lead and mentor production teams, coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and quality departments, and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime. The role involves analyzing production data, optimizing processes, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve cost, efficiency, and delivery targets. The Senior Production Manager also supports strategic planning, contributes to capacity and expansion decisions, and maintains clear communication with senior leadership and key customers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in production management within packaging, manufacturing, or a related industry, with strong knowledge of plant operations and workflows.
• Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, including managing labor, materials, and equipment to meet output targets.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.
• Experience with quality assurance and control practices, including adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Ability to analyze production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Solid understanding of maintenance coordination, equipment reliability, and basic troubleshooting in a production environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, engineering, and leadership teams.
• Comfort using production management software, ERP systems, and standard office tools for reporting, documentation, and data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Production Management, Industrial Management, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or senior role in a packaging or FMCG manufacturing setup, preferably in a high-volume environment.
