Job summary

Karamtara Engineering seeks a Sr. Engineer/Asst. Manager - Production Planning & Control to lead short-, mid-, and long-term production planning based on orders and capacity.

You will publish daily/weekly schedules, coordinate with procurement, and ensure material availability without excess inventory. You will mentor planning staff and drive SAP-based workflow across functions. The role requires strong planning, leadership, and communication skills to align production with business commitments

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning and control
• Familiarity with SAP modules (BOM, Routing, Sales Order, Inventory, PR/PO)
• Ability to lead and mentor planning staff

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish daily/weekly production schedules and shop floor work orders; monitor adherence and adjust plans to meet commitments.
• Manage materials planning and coordinate with procurement to ensure raw materials and components are available as per requirements without excess inventory.
• Lead internal meetings and communicate status to stakeholders (Sales & Department Head).
• Train and mentor junior planning staff; coordinate with cross functional teams for delivery performance.
• Review SAP activities (BOM, Routing, Sales Order, Inventory Review, PR & PO status).

Key Responsibility

• 1. Develop and maintain production plans (short-, mid- and long term) based on order book, sales orders, and capacity constraints.
• 2. Create and publish daily/weekly production schedules and shop floor work orders; monitor adherence and adjust plans to meet commitments. 3. Manage materials planning and coordination with procurement to ensure raw materials and components are available as per requirements without excess inventory.
• 4. Lead internal meetings (daily huddles, production review) and communicate status to stakeholders (Sales & Department Head).
• 5. Train and mentor junior planning staff; coordinate with cross functional teams for delivery performance.
• 6. Review of SAP activities (i.e. BOM, Routing, Sales Order, Inventory Review, PR & PO status)
