Job summary

Kirloskar Brothers Limited is seeking an experienced Planning professional to drive production scheduling and vendor coordination for critical components and pump assemblies. You will interpret specifications, create MS Project plans, monitor BOM-based manufacturing activities, and report weekly updates with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in planning, strong knowledge of SAP S4 HANA, MS Project and MS Office tools, and a solid grasp of machining, fabrication, welding

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Planning of critical products.
• Knowledge of SAP S4 HANA, MS project, MS excel, Power point, Word etc.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, NDT, and testing.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills and strong coordination and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret product specifications and engineering drawings of components, sub-assemblies, and pump assemblies.
• Plan and monitor detailed manufacturing activities for each component and assembly as per the Bill of Material (BOM).
• Prepare MS project schedules in MS Project, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Design, process engineering, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, Testing, and Dispatch teams to ensure timely completion of activities.
• Facilitate inter-departmental reviews to resolve constraints impacting schedules.
• Ensure seamless information flow across functions for smooth project execution.
• Plan and monitor outsourced machining components.
• Daily meeting with Machine shop, assembly, QC and procurement team to review status.
• Coordinate with purchase to ensure adherence to committed delivery timelines.
• Track vendor performance and elevate delays when necessary.
• Monitor production progress and update schedules regularly in MS Project.
• Identify critical path activities and analyze schedule risks.
• Conduct delay analysis and recommend corrective or recovery action plans.
• Track material availability in SAP and proactively highlight potential bottlenecks.
• Coordinate SAP transactions related to Material Master, Production Planning (PP), and crediting Processes.
• Ensure accuracy of planning-related data in SAP for effective monitoring and reporting.
• Present weekly status of project during cross functional meeting (CFT).
• Provide analytical inputs to management for decision-making to avoid delay.

A. Technical Understanding & Planning
