Job summary

Expleo Group in Chennai is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with 4–7+ years to design, develop, deploy, and optimize BI solutions. You will build dashboards and reports, create semantic data models, and manage data transformation pipelines using DAX, Power Query, SQL, and Power BI Service.

The role requires collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, implementing row-level security, optimizing performance, and embedding reports into web applications.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer.
• Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.
• Experience in creating and optimizing mobile-friendly report layouts.
• Experience in working with MySQL and Oracle databases.
• Design and develop semantic data models using Power BI Desktop.
• Ability to create interactive reports using slicers, filters, drill-down & drill-through.
• Experience with bookmarks, buttons, and tooltips.
• Deploy reports to Power BI Service and manage workspaces.
• Build data models, perform data cleaning, and create calculated columns/measures using DAX.
• Implement the appropriate Power BI data connectivity mode (Import, Direct Query, or Live Connection).
• Connect to data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, etc.), transform data using Power Query (M Language).
• Optimize data refresh schedules and query performance.
• Implement and manage row-level security (RLS) on data.
• Document report requirements, data logic, and user guides.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business processes.
• Support embedding the power BI reports into web application.
• Experience with performance tuning (both Power BI and database level).
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (Star Schema).
