Job summary

Idam Natural Wellness is seeking a Senior Executive Packaging Procurement to lead end-to-end sourcing of packaging materials, ensuring timely availability, cost optimization, quality compliance, and strong vendor management across NPD, R&D, Quality, Planning and Production.

The role requires coordinating with multiple cross-functional teams to support new product launches and ongoing business requirements, while driving supplier performance and process improvements across packaging spend.

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging procurement for FMCG/Beauty/Personal Care sectors.
• Strong vendor negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficient in RFQ, costing, PO processing and commercial negotiations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Proficient with MS Excel and procurement ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of packaging materials including bottles, jars, tubes, caps, labels, and cartons.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity and lead time.
• Float RFQs, negotiate terms, finalize rates, and release POs as required.
• Ensure timely procurement to avoid production or dispatch delays.
• Coordinate with NPD, R&D, Quality, Production, Planning and Design teams for new packaging development.
• Track vendor performance on quality, delivery, and cost.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Executive Packaging Procurement who will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of packaging materials, ensuring timely availability, optimum cost, quality compliance, and effective vendor management. The role will work closely with NPD, R&D, Quality, Planning, Production, and other cross-functional teams to support new product launches and ongoing business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of packaging materials such as bottles, jars, tubes, caps, closures, pumps, labels, cartons, mono cartons, corrugated boxes, laminates, films, and other packaging components.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity, lead time, and service levels.
• Float RFQs, negotiate commercial terms, finalize rates, and release purchase orders as per business requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement and availability of packaging materials to avoid production or dispatch delays.
• Work closely with NPD, R&D, Quality, Production, Planning, and Design teams for new packaging development and product launches.
• Coordinate with vendors for samples, prototypes, trials, approvals, artwork, specifications, and commercial finalization.
• Drive cost optimization through vendor negotiations, alternate vendor development, value engineering, MOQ optimization, and material standardization.
• Monitor vendor performance related to quality, delivery, lead time, rejection, responsiveness, and cost.
• Maintain and regularly update vendor database, rate contracts, comparative statements, and procurement trackers.
• Coordinate with Quality and vendors for resolution of packaging quality issues, rejections, and corrective actions.
• Track open POs and ensure timely delivery as per production and launch plans.
• Support new vendor development and alternate source identification to reduce dependency and supply risk.
• Analyze procurement spend and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
• Ensure procurement activities are aligned with company policies, approval processes, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation related to vendor quotations, negotiations, POs, specifications, and commercial agreements.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Packaging Procurement / Strategic Sourcing.
• Hands-on experience in sourcing packaging materials for FMCG, Cosmetics, Beauty & Personal Care, Pharma, or similar industries.
• Good understanding of packaging materials, specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality parameters.
• Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Good understanding of RFQ, comparative analysis, costing, PO processing, and commercial negotiations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel / ERP / SAP and procurement systems.
