Job summary

Manpowergroup Services India in Bengaluru, Karnataka, seeks a Senior Engineer – NPD Engineering to lead RFQ feasibility, product engineering, and industrialisation for aerospace, defence and space products.

The role requires 6+ years in Design/Proposal/NPD/Manufacturing Eng, with mandatory aerospace/defence/space experience and proficiency in CAD tools and AS9100 standards. You will collaborate with multiple functions to drive NPD initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in Design / Proposal / NPD / Manufacturing Engineering.
• Mandatory aerospace, defence or space industry experience.
• Knowledge of AS9100, AS9145, APQP, AS9102, GD&T and FAI/PPAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility reviews, RFQ responses, BOM, costing and process estimation.
• Interpret customer drawings, specifications, schematics, GD&T and data packages.
• Develop process flows, tooling requirements, standard times and manufacturing plans.
• Prepare technical proposals, compliance matrices and customer clarifications.
• Lead NPD projects, APQP, DFMEA/PFMEA, FAI and PPAP activities.
• Coordinate with Business Development, Sourcing, Quality, Production and Process Engineering.

Senior Engineer NPD Engineering | Aerospace, Defence & Space

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Engineer – Engineering to handle RFQ technical feasibility, product engineering, NPD and industrialisation for aerospace, defence and space products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical feasibility reviews, RFQ responses, BOM, costing and process estimation.
• Interpret customer drawings, specifications, schematics, GD&T and technical data packages.
• Develop process flows, tooling requirements, standard times and manufacturing plans.
• Prepare technical proposals, compliance matrices and customer clarifications.
• Lead NPD projects, APQP, DFMEA/PFMEA, FAI and PPAP activities.
• Coordinate with Business Development, Sourcing, Quality, Production and Process Engineering.
• Handle technical discussions with customers and support design-for-manufacturing initiatives.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 6+ years in Design / Proposal / NPD / Manufacturing Engineering.
• Mandatory aerospace, defence or space industry experience.
• Strong exposure to at least 2 areas: Magnetics, Transformers/Inductors, Wire Harnesses, Cable Assemblies, Electro-mechanical Assemblies, Motors, Solenoids, Actuators, Cabinets/Racks/Panels.
• Knowledge of AS9100, AS9145, APQP, AS9102, GD&T and FAI/PPAP.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo, SAP/ERP and MS Excel.
• Strong customer-facing and technical communication skills.
