Job description

POSITION PURPOSE

To own the technical response to enquiries and the engineering industrialisation of new products end to end — feasibility, BOM, process flow, tooling and time estimation, customer technical interface and APQP delivery — and to act as the senior technical authority supporting Business Development in winning work that Hical can build profitably and compliantly.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

• Minimum: Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering
• Preferred:E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a design, proposal, NPD or manufacturing engineering role in an engineering manufacturing environment.
• Experience in an aerospace, defence or space industry organisation is mandatory; AS9100 certified organisation preferred.
• Demonstrated independent ownership of RFQ technical packages and of NPD projects through formal gate reviews.

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT

The Senior Engineer must have in-depth, independent command of at least two of Hical's product categories and working competence across the others.

Candidates with hands-on working experience in one or more of these product categories will be strongly preferred.

• Magnetics and wound components - transformers, inductors, coils, chokes, current and voltage sensors
• Wire harnesses and cable assemblies - discrete harnesses, looms, coaxial and shielded assemblies
• Electro-mechanical assemblies and box builds
• Motors - BLDC, PMDC, stepper, servo and synchronous types
• Solenoids - linear and rotary, latching and non-latching
• Actuators and actuator assemblies - electro-mechanical, linear and rotary
• Cabinets, racks and panels with complete internal wiring
