Job summary

Synechron in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Network Engineer (Routers & Switches) with 8+ years of hands-on experience to ensure uptime and performance. This full-time hybrid role requires configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting routers and switches.

Candidates should have strong diagnostics for L2/L3 connectivity and routing issues, support NOC-style monitoring, and follow SOPs. Experience with fiber/optical networking is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of networking experience, specifically routers and switches.
• Hands-on expertise with BGP, OSPF, VLANs and STP.
• Proficient in diagnosing L2/L3 connectivity and routing issues.

Responsibilities

• Network Engineer (Routers & Switches) – handson role focused on uptime and performance
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot routers/switches using BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and routing fundamentals
• Strong diagnostics for L2/L3 connectivity, routing issues, failover, and performance troubleshooting
• Support NOC-style monitoring, incident triage, and escalations (as required)
• Perform config updates, documentation, change management, and follow SOPs/best practices
• Troubleshoot using logs/telemetry, verify changes, and ensure network stability
• Good to have: NOC experience, and Fiber/Optical networking knowledge (fiber links, optics/transceivers)
