Job summary

Sify is seeking an experienced L2 Routing & Switching Engineer to support enterprise-grade network infrastructure for Data Centers and Branch Networks in a BFSI environment. You will handle advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and operational support across multiple network technologies and OEM platforms.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a bachelor's degree, and relevant Cisco/Juniper certifications to drive network reliability and security.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide L2-level support for Routing & Switching issues in a 247 operational environment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents within defined SLAs.
• Handle Data Centre and Branch network operations, including escalations from L1 teams.
• Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of: SD-WAN, MPLS, IPSEC VPN, ACI-based environments.
• Work on Cisco Nexus platforms for Data Centre switching.
• Support and troubleshoot network devices from Cisco and Juniper OEMs.
• Perform change implementation activities (CRQs) including planned, emergency changes and post-change validation.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare technical reports.
