Job summary

Broadcom Inc. in Bengaluru seeks a memory design engineer to analyze architectures, design transistor-level memory blocks, and perform simulations and verifications.

You will extract layouts, perform post-layout checks, and assist in floorplanning for physical macros, integrating characterization flows to derive timing and power information. The role requires strong expertise in SRAMs, register files, multi-port memories, and memory models, with scripting and tool proficiency to automate

Qualifications

• Knowledge in memory compiler or custom digital circuits including SRAMs, Register-files, Multi-ports, ROMs.
• Strong understanding of transistor-level circuit behavior and device physics.
• Familiarity with test setups, silicon testing and debug is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze different memory architectures and highlight tradeoffs.
• Design and build memory blocks at gate/transistor level.
• Simulate and analyze circuit design using transistor-level simulators.
• Extract the layout and perform post-layout simulations and verification.
• Floorplan physical implementation and leafcell layout integration for the macro.
• Develop scripts to automate characterization flow, simulations, and verification.
• Specify and verify behavioral and physical memory models.
• Document design specifications, behavioral descriptions, and timing diagrams.
• Specify silicon test plan and correlate silicon to simulation data.
• Help debug silicon issues.
