Job summary

Padink Engineering Services in Bangalore North, India is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design and engineering of equipment in metals, minerals, mining, chemicals, power and cement sectors. The role focuses on 3D modeling, GD&T, and compliance with international standards.

You will work with Solid Works, Autodesk Inventor and ENOVIA PLM, prepare BOMs and drawings, manage ECN/ECR changes, and coordinate with onsite teams. 8–12 years of relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical from a reputed university.
• Knowledge of Solid Works, Autodesk Inventor, EDM/PDM, Vault, ENOVIA PLM.
• 8–12 years of design and engineering experience in metals, minerals, mining, chemicals, power or cement.
• Familiar with ISO, DIN, IS, ANSI & ASME standards and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering of equipment in Hydrometallurgy, Smelting, SAP & GC, Metals & Minerals domains.
• Prepare Equipment 3D Models and Detail Drawings with BOM.
• Understand scope, technical requirements and project docs before work.
• Engage with EDM database & ENOVIA PLM tool; manage ECN/ECR changes.

Job Description

TYPICAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design & Engineering of Equipment in Hydrometallurgy, Smelting, SAP & GC, Metals &Minerals area.
  
• Preparation of Equipment 3D Models and Detail Drawings with BOM
  
• Should be able to understand the scope of work, technical requirements/specifications, Project documentation before commencement of work
  
• Engage with EDM database & Enovia PLM tool
  
• ECN, ECR and as built changes.
  
• Preparation of Equipment General Arrangement drawings
  
• Preparing MOM, Maintaining tracker and Onsite coordination.
  
• 8 to12years of experience in Design & Engineering of Equipment in industries such as Metals, Minerals, Mining, Chemicals, Power & Cement.
  
• Experience in Design &Engineering of equipment such as Tanks, Furnaces, Crushers, Feeders, Ball Mills, Hoppers, Silos, Chutes is preferred.
  
• In depth Knowledge of Fabrication & Manufacturing process.
  
• Well verse with ISO, DIN, IS, ANSI & ASME standards.
  
• Proficient in ASME Y14.5 (GD&T).
  
• Experience working with Global Clients is an added advantage.
